Software Developer (C#, .NET Core)

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with external clients/partners on a regular basis regarding progress, challenges, timelines, and end results of client projects
• Create technical estimations
• Present technical strategies to clients and gather technical requirements as needed
• Create and update the design and functional documents
• Identify and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Perform a mix of maintenance and new development as required
• Implement project payment applications according to specifications
• Research technical issues and provide recommendations
• Work both independently and as part of a team to create reliable and high performing
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and shift priorities
• Perform code review sessions with other developers and suggest improvements or alternate approaches when appropriate
• Assist project managers and directors with the creation of task-level project plans that detail the specific tasks required to deliver a solution

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development, database design and development, and system integration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, specifically. NET CORE, C#, Entity Framework
• Good Experience building Restful APIs and API Gateway
• Good understanding of Software Design Patterns and CI/CD
• Hands-on experience with Containers such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS
• Hands-on Experience with AWS Services such as Lambda, Dynamo DB, RDS, API Gateway,
• Hands-on experience in payment/ e-commerce software development is a plus
• Experience developing software using a formal and structured development methodology
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with test-driven development and proper unit testing of code
• An iterative approach to development, using short development cycles and frequent builds
• Object-Oriented Programming / Object Oriented Design (OOP/OOD)
• Hands-on experience building Microservice Architecture is a plus
• Ability to develop secure solutions and knowledge of industry best practices regarding information security and payment solutions
• Mandarin/Chinese skills are preferred as this role might need correspondence with business partners in China.
